Herman launched Schroeder Capital in 2017, where he serves as the Portfolio Manager of a directional long/short fund, employing a generalist approach with fundamental and bottom-up analysis.

Prior to this, Herman was an Associate Director at UBS from 2014 to 2016 in New York, focusing on the Global Industrials Group. He pursued an MBA from the Darden School of Business between 2012 and 2014, with a specialization in Asset Management, Private Equity, and Finance.

Earlier in his career, Herman spent four years at KPMG in London, from 2008 to 2012, working as an auditor for real estate and industrial clients. Herman's career began in 2005 as an Equity Analyst at Imalivest, a South African Hedge Fund, followed by roles in credit trading and operations at UBS in Stamford and Morgan Stanley in London.

He is a qualified chartered accountant and holds the CFA® charter. Herman received his M.A. in Economics and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh in 2005.
